Mirror, mirror on the wall,
I don’t think you know me at all.
Whilst you reflect the layer you see
Please realise there is more to me.
You cannot hope that frame and skin
Will let you read what lies within.
I’m fire and passion, soul and art,
Untamed spirit, giving heart.
And maybe beauty isn’t mine
(I do not match the term defined)
But flesh alone will not speak for me;
I’m a book, come read my story.

Hello Autumn. You’ve chilled the air,
Slowed the grass, stripped trees bare,
Crisped their leaves, skeletons exposed
And let Jack Frost come bite our toes.
First frost, first snow, hard rain, yet sun!
Experience weather, every one.
Your flame gives way to Winter’s grey;
Thank you Autumn for your display.
Note To Autumn is a rhyming poem about Autumn by Ms Moem.
I promise I’ll be there for you with each beat of my heart.
I promise I’ll be there for you in times both bright and dark.
I promise I’ll be there for you when you just want to talk.
I promise I’ll be there for you by your side as we walk.
I promise I’ll be there for you no matter where we are.
I promise I’ll be there for you. I swear it on the stars.
I promise I’ll be there for you, I promise, I am sure.
I promise that I love you and I shall forever more.

She set out with intention;
Thought she knew the way to go
But as she wandered clumsily
The winds of change did blow.
They took her like a feather
And she floated on their breeze
Soaring so far above the forest
She could barely see the trees.
At first, she was astounded
Just how far she went each day
But eventually she realised
She’d completely lost her way.

Happy National Poetry Day!
A poem about hope.
A poem about making the leap!
And they say she’s a wild one – a poem.
A poem about knowing someone completely.
A poem about making quality time for yourself.
A poem to my husband!
A poem about being brave and making yourself heard! (or read)
A poem for a wedding!
A poem about the bond between mother and child.
A poem about the night!
A poem about a mother’s love.
A poem about living life to the max.
A poem about letting go of things that don’t serve you well.
A poem about being human.
Hold My Hand My Love
Hold my hand, my love.
Today as we commit
I promise to be there for you
For the good and bad bits.
I will try to encourage you;
To be the rock you are for me
And I’ll always have in mind
The way you like things to be.
I will try to be positive;
To support and inspire
And I’ll protect the precious spark
Of our intimate desire.
Then when you need a shoulder
You’ll feel my embrace
And as we both get older
I promise I’ll still love your face.
I pledge my heart to you
As we write our future together
And these are my promises
For now and forever.

I’m So Lucky
I’m so lucky to be in love
To have a willing hand to hold
To know that we’ll stand side by side
Until we’re grey and old
I’m so lucky I’ve met my match
To have found my missing link
To know you try to understand
The way I feel and think.
I’m so lucky to feel connected
Like you’re an extension of me
We share hopes and ambitions
Of how our lives should be.
I’m so lucky I am with you
And as we say ‘I do’
The luckiest thing of all
Is that you feel the same way too.

I Got This is a short poem by English Poet, Ms Moem.
“I don’t want to go” he said from his bed
“I’d rather stay home and eat ice cream instead.
I can’t stand the teachers and the kids are as bad
And that’s without mentioning their mums and their dads.
The dinners are nasty. They make me feel sick.
And there’s always some joker with a plethora of tricks.
The playground’s unfriendly and inhabited by bullies
And they pick on me daily, which is a bit of a worry;
They all call me names and say they’re going to hurt me.
Oh, and the toilets are smelly and also quite dirty.
I think that I’ve learned all I’ll ever know
And nobody likes me so I am not going to go.”
His wife rolled her eyes as she stood at the door.
“But darling, you’re headmaster. That’s what you’re paid for!”
