X Factor Live Results Show Week 6

X Factor Live Results Show Week 6

Katie Waissel, One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson are declared safe
Matt Cardle, Mary and Wagner are all also guaranteed a place.
This leaves Paije and Cher Lloyd, to face the bottom two this week;
Will one of these two favourites will be the one the judges keep?

Simon Cowell and Cheryl both voted to send home Paije
But Dannii Minogue, as his mentor, voted to keep him on the stage.
Louis Walsh could have skipped the decision and sent it to deadlock
But instead chose to send Paije home, and his little face dropped in shock.

X Factor Live Show Week 6

X Factor Live Show Week 6

It’s Saturday Night, and our regular X Factor treat;
The theme for the contestants is ‘The Beatles’ this week.
Matt Cardle kicked us off, what a fab way to begin
Followed by Cher Lloyd and her rendition of Imagine.

Simon Cowell was not impressed that she’d sang sitting on some stairs
But with Cheryl Cole as her mentor, that didn’t seem to faze Cher.
Simon then introduced to us, his one remaining selection
And ‘All We Need Is Love’ was blasted out by One Direction.

Louis was heard above the crowd, to say they’d raised their game
But Danni was a little less complimentary, defeaned by fans screaming their name.
Even the boys themselves, were struggling to hear the comments that they had
So Dermot read out their number, and we broke for another ad.

Rebecca Ferguson gave us ‘Yesterday’ when it came to her turn
And she was followed by ‘Something’ from the Irish diva, Mary Byrne.
It is a night for big songs, I am sure you’ll agree
And Paije Richardson owned the stage as he gave us ‘Let It Be’.

Wagner was up next to grace the X Factor live show stage
But when it came to his comments, he provoked a bit of Cheryl rage.
He’d been quoted in the papers, talking of her past, as he confessed
But the story had been slightly twisted; he said ‘Don’t believe what you read in the press!’

The final act this Saturday night, gave us ‘Help’ as her prayer
And she’s also undgone a radical change, removing and colouring her hair.
Pixie like, Katie Waissel’s arragement was powerful to say the least
But will it be enough to see her through safely until next week.

X Factor Live Results Show Week 5

X Factor Sunday, the live results show
Tonight who’ll be saved, and who’ll have to go?
They’re preceeded by a host of well known male guests
From Take That, to Westlife, and of course, JLS.

In no particular order, the first act through is Cher
Followed up by Matt, and Rebecca of the glamourously styled hair.
One Direction are safe, much to Simon Cowell’s delight
Then Wagner made it through; oh my word, can this be right.

Mary hugged Louis as she was eventually saved
With the final act safe, declared to be Paije.
So Katie and Aiden must now perform once more;
Which one will conquer and who’ll be shown the door?

There’s been scandal in the paper and news of a fix;
Is the X Factor based on talent or a series of tricks?
Katie was declared as more interesting last week
So Aiden has his work cut out, as he’s not quite as unique.

Everything now rests on the judges decisions
And perhaps, more importantly, Simon Cowell’s visions.
We go to him first and he says he likes them both
But soon he decides that he likes Katie the most.

Over to Cheryl, which gives Aiden two votes to go
And Danni said that she’d like to keep him in the show.
Louis voted to send home Katie, so deadlock it has to be
And that’s the end of Aiden Grimshaw on our weekend TV!

X Factor Live Results Show 07/11/10

It’s the X Factor Live Results show; it’s terribly en vogue.
Tonight with performances from Shayne Ward and Kylie Minogue.
There’s a mass of pyrotechnics and the excitement is filling the air
As Shayne sang his new single, sparks flew from his derriere!

Kylie is a legend, and commanded the stage with ease
Looking simply sensational; I’m sure everyone agrees.
It’s great that her and Danni can share this experience together
Proving a sister is not just for the X Factor; a sister is forever.

So back to the matter in hand, and with anticaption growing
Dermot will fill us in, on who’s staying and who’s going.
Don’t forget that Simon has been left with only one selection
So will he be with us next week with his boy band, One Direction?

Aiden and Rebecca are the first to go safely through
Followed by Matt Cardle, and Simon smiles as One Direction are too.
Paije jumped up and down and shared a hug with Dannii right there
Before the next act through was announced, to be Cheryl Cole’s act, Cher.

Wagner somehow made it through at which Cheryl looked rather sad
Then Tesco’s Mary was also saved, looking relieved and glad.
Katie and Treyc both will sing, to see who comes back next week;
So one of Cheryl’s acts will go – which one will suffer defeat?

An impassioned Katie sat on the stage,and said “sod it” with her plea
Singing to the masses, “Please, please don’t give up on me!”
Treyc sang Unbreak My Heart from Toni Braxton, with tears in her eyes;
Which act has sung her final note and is headed to X Factor demise?

Simon said that Treyc was clearly the better singer
But Katie is more interesting; so Katie was his winner.
Next we hear from Cheryl, but she refused to give her vote
So next we head to Danni, and she went for Katie’s throat.

Louis said he liked both of them, but voted Treyc to go
And because Cheryl hadn’t voted, this is the end of Treyc on the show.
Katie will get to sing again, because Cheryl passed the buck
So commiserations now to Treyc, that was incredible bad luck!

X Factor Live Results Show Week 4 31/10/10

The X Factor results show, kicked off with the group song
This time led by Bon Jovi, with contestants singing along.
They were living on a prayer, waiting for time to pass by
Before the next act took the stage, in the guise of Jamiroquai.

Tonight, the lovely Rhianna, is the star headline act;
This girl has real talent and that is a fact!
The phone lines are closed, and no more votes can be cast;
Which X Factor performer is about to sing their last?

After the obligatory ad breaks, those safe move to one side
With only those with the lowest votes, left with nowhere to hide.
Paije, Cher, Aiden and Wagner are the first to survive
With One Direction proving their lucky number truly is five.

The sixth act safe was Matt, followed by Rebecca
And Tesco’s Mary shimmied towards her own X Factor Mecca.
Treyc Cohen was the last, to be put safely through
So that leaves Belle Amie and Katie as this week’s bottom 2.

Simon Cowell told Katie, she sung better than on the main show
But as Belle Amie are his girls, then he voted Katie to go.
Cheryl is sending home Belle Amie, just to keep it fair
And Dannii chose to save Katie; so far no surprises there.

Cheeky Louis had the last vote, and so deadlock is had to be
And in the end, the act to go, was the quartet Belle Amie.
To be fair the last performance hadn’t been overly great
So now they’re out of the running, here’s to next week; I cannot wait!

X Factor Live Show Week 4 30/10/10

The weekend is here, and even though I am ill
The X Factor is on, so watch it I will.
I managed to stay awake the whole time it was on air
And I am shocking myself, with tonight’s favourite being Cher!

Matt Cardle had a go at Leona’s first hit
But it didn’t really compare, not even a little bit.
And Wagner’s Bat Out Of Hell, was an opera too far;
It’s Halloween, are you scared yet? I’d have to say that we are.

So I’ll be tuning in tomorrow, to see which act will go
With the mighty Rhianna performing on this particular results show.
Will One Direction and Katie Waissel both manage to survive?
Join me tomorrow evening, for another X Factor poem, written live!

X Factor Results Live Show Sunday Week Three

We’ve hit 8’clock and it’s X Factor results time;
The contestants kicked us off with a badly synched mime.
Luckily Mrs Cole’s performance was far better rehearsed
And it was lovely and sweet to see her shaking with nerves.

Michael Buble also performed, and the British ladies swooned
As we awaited the results, under the light of the moon.
But do you know, I think truly, that most ladies’ new goal
Is now to embody the dainty Cheryl Cole.

A well placed ad break followed, for Cheryl to re-dress
Before Dermot gave us the answer as to which acts were a success.
Cher, Aiden, Wagner then Katie went through
Then One Direction heard the news that they were safe too.

Rebecca then Belle Amie, that made 7 happy acts
And the eigth person through, was the talented Matt.
Tesco’s Mary was the tenth, closely followed by Paije;
So John and Treyc will now sing for survival on the stage.

The last two songs did nothing for me, my attention span gone
But it was no great surprise that the evictee was John.
Tonight Cheryl’s performance, was for me, the real treat;
So it’s over and out now, from me, till next week!

X Factor Live Show Week Three 23/10/2010

X Factor Live Show Week Three Poem

It’s Saturday night X Factor, so come on, let’s have it;

The first act of note, was Rebecca as Jessica Rabbit.

Then Matt Cardle hit the stage and all acts were eclipsed

As Britney’s, Hit Me One More Time, smoothly passed his lips.

Cher Lloyd had performed in the interim, but she doesn’t float my boat;

Perhaps I’m jaded by the incident, at judges’ houses, with her throat.

But anyway, I’m digressing now, I’m thoroughly enjoying the show

And I’d love to hear your thoughts on who you think is next to go!

X Factor Live Shows Begin

I wrote poems about the X Factor, last year, on a whim

So I’m doing it once more, as the live shows begin.

I’m thrilled that it’s back, and it’s hit the ground running

With the contestants and judges, the entertainment is stunning.

Now the selection of the artists, was particularly hard

So this year each section has been allowed a wildcard.

Twelve originally went through, now we have sixteen,

Eager and talented acts, ready to fulfill their dreams.

It is two and half hours of absolute pleasure

Add a generous dose of Dermot; just for good measure.

All singing and dancing, with lasers and lights;

But which two acts will have their cards marked, by the end of the night?
