Tearstains | A Poem

tearstains poem by Ms MoemTearstains is a short poem by Ms Moem.

She cried herself to sleep at night;
the lowest she could get.
But nobody believed her
Because her eyes weren’t dripping wet.
They never saw the rainfall
Nor the red-rimmed numbed repose
And nobody looked close enough
To see the tearstains on her clothes.
