I’ve come across a delightful lady on instagram and she makes the most gorgeous bears, by hand! Check her out! @claires_memory_bears_
And she’s just about to open her order books so you best be quick!! They sold out in 6 hours last time!

Absolutely honoured to see my poetry included in this gorgeous wedding calligraphy installation.
The words are a snippet of my wedding poem called ‘I Promise’, which is available as a video on youtube.
The writing, design and styling by Suzanne Oddy is just glorious! Check out my post on my facebook page where I have shared Suzanne’s post which includes her video of the installation!

Love love love!
I have been trying my hand at modern calligraphy and have just purchased the most amazing gold ink. I think it might technically be a watercolour but whatever, it is insanely beautiful.
This is the finetec metallic pearl palette. They are made in Germany but I got mine from Penman Direct, here in the UK, by mail order.

The quality of the gold it produces beats the gold Windsor & Newton, ink in my opinion. It’s almost like writing with real gold.
I usually use an oblique penholder and nib, but for this little bit of word art, I went for a brush. Brush calligraphy is a little trickier as you really have to pay attention to the brush as well as what you are writing, but that might just be a case of practice makes perfect.
Love the effect though, and as it was literally a case of ‘parcel got delivered, open, paint’, I am very happy with the finished pieces.
Now to think of more things to write!!
What sort of quotes would you like to hang on your walls? Motivational quotes? Inspirational quotes? Things that make you smile?
Re-posting a little experiment with clay animation that I did a couple of years ago. I quite fancy giving it another go.
I love a spot of Christmas crafting and I always start with a few snowflakes! These pretty pink snowflakes were made last year. I’ve got my glitter on standby and will be making a fresh batch to decorate the walls this festive season.
Are you a fan of making snowflakes? What Christmas crafts do you like to indulge in?
Everything has been done before.
Does that mean you shouldn’t bother doing anything because someone else got there first?
Not at all.
Do the things you want to, regardless of who or what has come before.
Make it your own. Maybe make it better.
Just make a start!
This is post 50 of 100 blogs in 100 days.
Do you like the idea of creating something but are worried no-one will like it? Well, the chances are, if you create something and you like it, someone else will like it too!
One person might like it. 10 people might like it. 100 people might like it. 1000 people might like it.
Heck, it’s even possible 1 million people might like it.
But you will never know unless you give it a go.
All those ideas you have floating around in your head. The dreams you have shelved for some time in the future. That thing you fancied trying but talked yourself out of because you thought it might require actually putting yourself on the line. Perhaps you want to write. Perhaps you want to make music. Perhaps you want to paint. Perhaps you want to make youtube videos. Ignore that little voice in the back of your head saying ….. But what if it goes wrong? What if people can’t understand why I am doing it? What if I am no good at it?
Life is too short to worry about the opinions of others to the point where it is stopping you doing what you want to do. If you want to create something, and you have the ideas and means to make it happen, do it! The best reason to make something is because you like it. If you like it but no-one else likes it, it’s not really a big deal. You can create many things, and who knows what reaction your next creation will get?
So go create! Someone will like it! YOU! Anyone else is just a bonus! 🙂
I personally like creating poems. I have built up quite a collection on my youtube channel. Some videos have had a handful of views. Some videos have had thousands. But honestly, even one view spurs me on to create more. Likes make me smile, and subscribes make me squeal but it is simply pressing publish that gives me the greatest pleasure because that means I have created something from start to finish.
It’s the little wins!
So what do you like to create?
